copyright criminalThe voyage of Open Source Cinema / Basement Tapes (or Pirate Movie?) is nearing the end of its first stage - the movie is almost done! We've incorporated remixes, original videoblogs, music and photos drawn from this site (and the culture that surrounds us). But there is a final step we need open source cinema to take - the end of the movie!

Submit a remix

  • actioncall

Much of the remix work that appears in RiP: A remix manifesto was done simply by watching footage uploaded to the site, downloading it, remixing, and uploading back. A simple call and response process that led to amazing results.

To take part, simply find footage in the uploads section, and download it to your computer. Each piece of footage is a "node" with a link to download the media.

When you have done editing, submit footage back in the submit content section.

So - are you a copyright criminal? We'll edit together these photo mug shots into the movie.
